Why I built this

I'm Thomas. I studied MEng at the University of Leeds, completed a placement year at a Big 4 firm in their consulting practice, and then — after a round of graduate applications in my final year — landed a graduate offer at a major bank.

Getting there wasn't magic. It was a lot of online tests, a lot of video interview takes, and two assessment centres. What made the difference wasn't confidence or charisma — it was understanding exactly what each stage was testing and preparing accordingly.

The problem I kept running into was the quality of content online. Most of what I found was either recycled advice ("be yourself," "research the company"), written years ago by people who hadn't been through the process recently, or so general it applied to any job at any company.

GradOffer exists because I wanted a place with the specific, honest content I was looking for when I was applying. Not aspirational — practical. Things like: what does a bank's assessment centre actually look like? What numerical test do they use? What happened at the group exercise? What would I do differently?

If you're a UK student or recent graduate aiming for competitive grad schemes — banking, consulting, Big 4, law, tech — this site is for you. I'll keep adding content as I write it, and I'll be expanding into tooling (CV reviewer, application tracker) over time.

If something here helped you, or if you want me to write about a scheme I haven't covered yet, reach out on LinkedIn.
